The Balvenie 12 Years Doublewood is a 12-year-old single malt matured first in American oak for 12 years, then for a further six months in ex-sherry casks. It has a full, round body and a long, lasting finish.
The nose combines sweet fruit and oloroso sherry with honey and vanilla. The palate is soft and smooth, with nutty sweetness, cinnamon spice and a delicate sherry note. The finish is long and warming.
