The Balvenie 12 Years Old Golden Cask is a Speyside single malt matured for 12 years in traditional whisky casks, then finished in casks seasoned with rum. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The rum casks are seasoned with a blend of rums aged in the Caribbean sun and others matured in the cooler air of Speyside. The malt opens with the warm honey and soft vanilla of The Balvenie, followed by layers of candied fruit, toasted oak and delicate spice.
