The Balvenie – 14 Year Old The Week of Peat (70cl)

This is a 14 year old single malt from The Balvenie in Speyside, in a 70cl bottle. It is the second edition in the distillery's Story range. Speyside is known for unpeated, fruity and elegant whiskies, but for one week a year, before the stills are cleaned, The Balvenie distils a peated malt. That week gives the whisky its name. The peat is local, and it sits alongside the honey and vanilla notes of the distillate.
