A 16 year old single malt from The Balvenie in Speyside, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-American oak casks, then spent a few more months in casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes.
That Pineau des Charentes finish gives the expression its French Oak name. It is usually described as bringing notes of candied fruit and ginger.
