The Balvenie 19 Years Old is a single malt matured in Sherry Oak, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle. Its name, A Revelation of Cask and Character, points to the cooperage behind it. Oak casks were once used to carry whisky, and on arrival the spirit had taken on some of the depth and richness of whatever the cask had held before.
