The Balvenie – Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

This is a 14 year old single malt from The Balvenie, a distillery in the Speyside town of Dufftown. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Balvenie is the only distillery that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings and keeps both coppersmiths and coppers on site. The Caribbean Cask expression carries the house character of smooth honey. In the glass it is usually described as honeyed, with toffee and a hint of fruit, leading to a warm, lingering finish.
