A 12 year old single malt from The Balvenie, bottled at 40%. Doublewood was launched in 1993 and marked its 25th anniversary in 2018.
It is matured in traditional whisky oak casks and then in old American bourbon casks, and finishes for nine months in Spanish sherry casks.
The nose is sweet, with sherry notes alongside vanilla and honey. The palate is soft and smooth, with a range of nuts, cinnamon and sherry.
