A 21-year-old Speyside single malt from The Balvenie, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures first in traditional oak casks and then spends a second period in port wine casks, which add depth and a fruity note.
The nose is ripe raisins and dried fruit, with honey, soft vanilla and a subtle, nutty dryness. The palate is creamy and silky, with ripe fruit, honey and warm spices, plus soft oak and toasted nuts. The finish is long, with dried fruit, gentle spices and nuts.
