The Borders Distillery – Malt & Rye WS:01 First Release (70cl, 40%)

Malt & Rye WS:01 is the first release from The Borders Distillery in Hawick, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery opened to the public on 1 May 2018, bringing whisky-making back to the Scottish Borders after almost two centuries. WS:01 is the first of five planned blended releases, one each year, leading towards the distillery's own signature single malt. The distillery uses only Scottish barley grown on 12 farms within 35 miles of Hawick, and its team handles every stage from mashing to filling casks.
