The Busker Single Grain is an Irish single grain whisky from Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow, bottled at 44.3% ABV. It is made from corn with malted and unmalted barley, using continuous distillation.
It is matured and finished in American bourbon casks and in Marsala casks from Cantine Florio 1833 in Sicily. The Marsala adds dried fruit to the caramel, vanilla and oak.
Pale straw in colour, it has a soft, sweet nose of fudge, caramel and vanilla. The palate is light and rounded, with dried fruit, gentle spice and a hint of hay. The finish is long, dry and gently sweet.
