The Busker Triple Cask is an Irish whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). Single malt, single grain and single pot still whiskeys are each made separately at the Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow, then blended together.
Maturation uses three cask types: ex bourbon barrels, ex sherry casks and ex Marsala casks. Marsala is a fortified wine from Sicily, and its use reflects the distillery's Italian ownership.
It is a bright golden straw in colour. The nose brings vanilla, honey and orchard fruit over light toasted oak. The palate is smooth, with creamy vanilla, baked apple, butterscotch, gentle spice and a touch of raisin. The finish is clean, warm and lightly sweet.
