This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from The Dalmore, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American white oak and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The blending is credited to Richard Paterson, and the whisky is described as smooth and elegant, with a mouth-coating texture.
The nose is soft and approachable, with dried fruit, hazelnuts and a dry spiciness. On the palate come classic Christmas-cake flavours of raisins, currants, cherries, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is sweet and raisiny, and it lingers for a long time.
