The Dalmore – 18 Year Old 2023 Edition (70cl, 43%)

This is the 2023 annual limited edition of The Dalmore 18 Year Old, a Highland single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was created by Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass and his team. The whisky matures first in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, which give a base of soft vanilla and honey. It is then finished for longer in 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from the Gonzalez Byass bodega in Spain. The nose has vanilla, dark chocolate, English marmalade and sweet liquorice. The palate brings chocolate raisins, citrus fruits, coffee, nutmeg and spice, and the finish is stewed fruits and toffee.
