This is a 1996 single malt Scotch whisky from The Dalmore in the Highlands, released under the name Cromartie - Lands of Clan Mackenzie. It is amber in colour. The nose is mineral, with grass, mint and leather before touches of chocolate come through. On the palate there are herbs and liquorice alongside spices, Seville oranges, lemons, ginger, pepper and nutmeg. The finish is long, built on pepper, sultanas and marmalade, and leaves a peppery aftertaste.
