The Dalmore 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt from an official bottling made in 2015, in an edition of 8,000 bottles. It spent ten years in American oak before moving into first-fill Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts, which are described as 30 years old. It is bottled at 42%.
On the nose it is described as tobacco, earthy tea, marmalade and dried pear, with chocolate and crystallised quince. The palate brings orange and chocolate alongside honey, cappuccino and juicy fruitcake. The finish is medium, fruity and juicy, with a chocolate and coffee backbone and a touch of oak.
