King Alexander III is a Highland single malt from Dalmore, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle as a festive limited edition. It is matured in six different casks: wine, Madeira, Sherry, Marsala, Kentucky bourbon and Port.
The nose combines Seville orange zest, malted cereal, chocolate and creamy vanilla fudge, with tropical fruit and a slightly vinous note. The palate is medium and rounded, with winter berries, spice and zesty orange, then liqueur notes of Grand Marnier, kirsch and Frangelico. The finish is peppery, with well-integrated oak and a late hint of claret.
