The Dalmore – Quintet (70cl, 44.5%)

Dalmore Quintet is a Highland single malt bottled at 44.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was introduced as a permanent expression for global travel retail, alongside Trio and Quartet, which are named for their three and four cask finishes. The whisky first matures in American white oak that previously held bourbon. It is then divided between five finishes: Moscatel, Malmsey Madeira, 30-year-old Matusalem sherry, 10-year-old Tawny port and Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. The five parts are then combined. The nose brings English orange marmalade, ripe plum and buttercream cake. On the palate there is honey-glazed nectarine, caramelised pineapple and toffee, with mango and coconut. The long finish has Colombian coffee, maple syrup and ground almonds.
