The Dalmore Valour is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky in a one-litre bottle at 40% ABV. It is matured in American white oak and Oloroso sherry wood, then finished in port pipes from the Douro region of Portugal.
The nose is rich with orange marmalade, ripe plums and dates, moving to creamy toffee, marzipan, raisins, vanilla and panettone. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with dark chocolate, fudge, ripe pineapple or sweet citrus, malt, sponge cake, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is of medium length and turns drier and spicier, with oak, ginger or pepper, bitter orange peel and toasted nuts.
