This is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from The Epicurean, a limited edition single cask bottling at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was finished in a single white port cask.
The white port finish adds a bright, wine-like fruitiness to the malt without dulling the lively Lowland character.
The nose offers orchard fruit, white grapes, lemon zest, vanilla cream and soft malt. The palate is crisp and lightly sweet, with green apple, pear drops, honey, citrus peel, grape must and gentle oak. The finish is medium, with clean fruit, soft spice and lingering sweetness.
