The Gauldrons is a Douglas Laing blended malt made from Campbeltown malts, in a 1 litre bottle at 46.2% ABV. Its name is said to mean 'Bay of Storms', after the dark, stormy shore on the west coast of Campbeltown. It is bottled in very small batches, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. The nose has sea air, gentle smoke, manuka honey and dried seaweed. The palate starts maritime, then moves to sugared shortbread, dry oak and grist. The finish is clearly spiced, with smoke, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon pancakes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
