The Gauldrons Eclipse is a Campbeltown blended malt, bottled at cask strength, 52.9%, in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, where it represents the Campbeltown region.
This is the first time The Gauldrons has been matured in orange wine casks, which come from cellars in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia.
The nose offers malt, dried apricots, orange peel and roasted almonds. On the palate come walnuts, honey, ginger and stone fruit. The finish is spicy and fresh, with notes of orange and an almost ethereal depth.
