The Gauldrons is a blend of Campbeltown malts from Douglas Laing, bottled in very small batches. Its name comes from the dark, stormy coves along Campbeltown's west shores. It is bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour and no chill filtering.
The nose offers honeycomb, brown sugar and sea salt, with a late hint of subtle spices. The palate is sweet and mouth coating, with a peppery warmth that moves towards a beachy, maritime character. The finish brings vanilla and oak, dark puffs of smoke and a biscuit sweetness.
