The GlenAllachie 8 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Master Distiller Billy Walker created it from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, with a small quantity of virgin oak casks and red wine barriques.
The spirit has a sunset bronze colour. Heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon come first on the nose, followed by ginger, toasted almonds and mocha. The palate brings treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.
