The Glendronach – 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

The Glendronach 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV, and the distillery's signature expression. The distillery was established in 1826 by James Allardice in the Forgue valley, and the name means 'valley of the brambles' in Scots Gaelic. The whisky is matured in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia in Spain, which gives it a richly sherried character. In the glass it is described as smooth, with vanilla and soft fruits, and a long, nutty finish.
