The GlenDronach 1993 28 Year Old is a single cask single malt Scotch whisky from Aberdeenshire. It was distilled in 1993 and matured in a single Oloroso sherry puncheon, cask 4193. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose has stewed prunes, leather, espresso beans and walnut oil, with old polished oak, clove, nutmeg and dark chocolate. The palate is rich, with dark Pedro Ximenez raisins, candied orange peel and black cherry compote, woven through with wood spices, pipe tobacco and a hint of molasses. The finish is very long, drying and warming, with dark cacao, espresso, baking spices and old sherry wood.
