The GlenDronach 30 Year Old is a Highland single malt blended by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled over three decades ago.
It is aged mainly in the distillery's Spanish oak Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, with select Amontillado sherry casks added as a third sherry style.
The nose shows morello cherry, raisin and spiced Brazil nut toffee, layered with marzipan and medjool date caramel. The palate brings glazed cherry and sultana cake, with a touch of Amontillado nuttiness, and the finish is very long, with dark chocolate, spiced dark fruits and old oak.
