The Glendronach – 30 Year Old (70cl, 47%)

The Glendronach 30 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for thirty years and bottled at 47%, in a 70cl bottle. Alongside the distillery's usual Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, it adds Amontillado casks. Master Blender Rachel Barrie brought the whisky together. Its palate moves through dried fruits, spiced toffee and layered patisserie notes. The nose has Morello cherry, raisin, spiced Brazil nut toffee, marzipan and medjool date caramel. On the palate are glazed cherry, sultana cake, cinnamon-raisin toffee and chocolate hazelnut café crème. The finish is long and smooth, with polished oak and integrated spice.
