A Highland single malt from GlenDronach, part of the distillery's Master's Anthology series and inspired by Highland fireside gatherings and the warmth of glowing peat embers. It is bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration.
It was matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and adds a gentle, aromatic smokiness to the house style of weight and dried-fruit richness.
The nose has sultanas, dates, orange peel, cocoa, toasted oak and light fireplace smoke. The palate offers dark chocolate, raisins, treacle, baking spices, roasted nuts and soft peat. The finish is long, with espresso, sweet smoke, dried fruit and spiced oak.
