The Glenlivet 18 Year Old Batch Reserve is a single malt matured for 18 years. Master Distiller Alan Winchester takes it through a combination of cask types: first-fill and second-fill American oak, and ex-sherry oak.
The American oak is there for tropical fruitiness, and the sherry oak for spicy complexity. The malt is described as complex, elegant and balanced.
