The Glenlivet Double Oak is a 12 year old Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV.
It is matured first in traditional oak and then in American oak casks, which add notes of vanilla and a distinctive smoothness. Water from Josie's Well is used in mashing and fermentation, and the height and width of the copper stills contribute a delicate yet complex character.
It is described as well balanced and fruity, with strong pineapple notes.
