Glenrothes 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured entirely in sherry casks, mostly first-fill European oak. The casks were selected by hand for this bottling, and the whisky is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
Roasted orchard fruit, maple syrup, dark chocolate and soft spices are the main flavours described, in a rich, smooth texture.
The nose is brown sugar, praline, candied orange and cinnamon, with toasted oak and old leather. The palate brings caramelised pear, orange marmalade, dark chocolate and candied ginger. The finish is soft, silky and long.
