The Glenrothes – Vintage 2001 (75cl)

The Glenrothes Vintage 2001 is a Speyside single malt in a 750ml bottle. The spirit was distilled in May 2001 and bottled eleven years later, in keeping with the house idea that maturity matters more than age. Every Glenrothes single malt is a vintage, meaning it comes from a single distilling year. Bright gold in the glass, it has a warm, malty nose of cereal with orange, cherry and caramel beneath. Orange leads on the palate, followed by vanilla and a hint of cinnamon-dusted apple. The finish is fairly long and dry, with lingering spice.
