The Glenturret 10 Year Old Peat Smoked is a Highland single malt from the 2022 edition, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It marks the varying sources of peat now used for the distillery's smoky whiskies, which dug peat from the mosses at its water source in the early 1800s.
The peated spirit is matured in first fill and second fill European and American oak casks.
The tasting notes describe sweet vanilla and fresh citrus fruits, then campfire smoke and understated peat alongside subtle sweetness and lemon sherbet. The finish returns to softly glowing, smoky embers.
