The Glenturret Triple Wood is a Highland single malt in its 2024 edition, bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named for the three kinds of cask used in its maturation.
The whisky matures in American oak and European oak casks that were seasoned with sherry, alongside Bourbon barrels. The three have been combined to give a golden colour and a soft, sweet and spicy character that builds on the fruity new make spirit.
Tasting notes mention vibrant spices, peaches with cinnamon and vanilla, and creamy wood, leading to a sweet, oaky finish.
