The Glenturret 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from Scotland, here in its 2023 edition and bottled at 46.4% ABV. It is put together from fewer than sixty selected casks.
American oak hogsheads bring a dessert-like sweetness, while European oak adds dried fruits and spice.
The nose opens with rich raisins and sultanas, followed by vanilla and cinnamon. Ginger and hints of nutmeg bring warmth on the palate. The finish closes with hedgerow fruits and maturing oak.
