The whisky is led by American oak, from first and second fill casks, with refill casks allowing the character of the peated spirit to come through. European oak adds sweeter, fruity notes after a pronounced smoky start.
The nose is citrus-forward, with smoke from peat embers and creamy vanilla. On the palate sweet fruit and peat mingle with tempered oak, leading to a soft finish.
