This is The Glenturret 8 Year Old, a Highland single malt from Scotland, bottled at 40% and dated to the 1980s. Glenturret is described as one of Scotland's oldest distilleries and the spiritual home of The Famous Grouse blend.
The nose has wood shavings and mustiness, Eastern spices and zesty marmalade, with a solid maltiness and dark nuttiness. The palate is light-bodied, with beeswax, perfume, oak and cut hay. The finish is of moderate length and ends on solid oak.
