The Glenturret 8 Years Old is a Highland single malt from The Glenturret Distillery in Crieff, Scotland. It is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle, and the label is marked Since 1775. It was distilled, matured and bonded at the distillery.
The nose is typically described as malted cereals, green apples, honey, vanilla and orange marmalade. On the palate it is light to medium in body with a slightly oily texture, a clear barley malt character, pears and sweet citrus, and a very faint trace of peat or wood smoke. The finish is of moderate length, dry and warm, with toasted oak, malt and a little peppery spice.
