The Glenturret Triple Wood is a Highland single malt from what is described as Scotland's oldest working distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks together with ex-bourbon barrels, which gives sweet fruit, warm baking spices and light oak.
The nose has sweet vanilla, toffee apple, malted barley and orchard fruit with subtle oak. On the palate it is creamy, with barley sugar, sticky ginger cake, cinnamon and a little dark chocolate. The finish is medium-long and sweet, with lingering wood spice and soft tannins.
