The Hearach is a lightly peated single malt from the Isle of Harris distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. The name is taken from the word for the island's inhabitants.
The distillery was founded in 2015 and has been making its malt since December of that year. This was the first time it was released, in 2024. The peating level is 12 to 14 ppm phenols.
The peat is described as melting into green, fruity and malty tones.
