Fielden #16 is a single cask English rye whisky from The Heart Cut, bottled at 56.6% in a 50cl bottle. Before bottling it was finished in a 45 year old coastal Oloroso solera cask.
That coastal sherry influence adds depth and a hint of maritime minerality to the rye.
It is described as bold and spicy, with dried fruits, toasted nuts and gentle oak, the spice tempered by sherry sweetness.
