The Irishman 17 Years Old is a single malt Irish whiskey made from 100% malted barley, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2022. It is bottled at 56% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a European oak sherry butt, and the sherry influence runs through the glass.
The nose carries dark chocolate. On the palate, toasted oak and sweet raisins macerated in sherry add complexity. The finish combines oloroso sherry with nutty notes and dark chocolate.
