The Irishman Single Malt Bourbon & Oloroso Sherry (2022) (40%)

This is The Irishman Single Malt, an Irish whiskey distilled at Bushmills and bottled for Walsh Whiskey at 40%. The 2022 release has a refreshed label. It is matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, which brings together fresh fruit and warm sherry notes in a soft, rounded style. The nose is honey, ripe pears, light vanilla and a soft sherry note. The palate is fruity and creamy, with apple, grain, biscuit, light spices and soft caramel. The finish is medium long, elegant and slightly sweet.
