New Forms Ex-Bourbon is a single cask London single malt from The London Distillery Company, in a 70cl bottle at 60.7% ABV. It is one of three New Forms releases, each finishing the distillery's malt in a different cask.
This edition spent 12 months in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask, which added honey, vanilla and buttery caramel, along with toasted oak and a seam of char. Only 222 bottles were filled.
The nose offers honey on buttered toast, ripe banana, lemon zest and pineapple juice. The palate is sweet and rounded, with caramel, toasted oak, cinnamon and bitter lemon zest. The finish is long, with oak, char, melted butter and tart green apple.
