New Forms Fino is a single cask English single malt from The London Distillery Company, finished for 8 months in a first-fill fino sherry hogshead and bottled at 61.4% ABV. It is limited to 347 bottles.
The fino finish adds candied citrus, stone fruit and a touch of salinity, a drier sherry influence than oloroso. The casks were filled at the original London Distillery Company, which began distilling in 2011.
The nose offers candied lemon peel, golden plum and nectarine, with grape leaf and toasted porridge. The palate brings bright citrus peel, white pepper and clove, and the finish is peach loaf with dusty oak.
