This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from The Macallan, a limited 2026 release bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in sherry oak casks and has a light mahogany colour.
The nose is sweet pastry with candied ginger, candied raisins and sultanas, with a touch of orange and ground cinnamon. The palate is soft and full, with ginger coated in dark chocolate, dates and dried apricots, balanced by oak and vanilla sweetness.
The finish is long, with dried fruit, ginger and oak.
