Peated Breeze is a bottling from Number Nine in its Nine Springs range, double matured in PX and Marsala casks. On the nose, the fruitiness and sweetness of the sherry cask meet ripe pear, vanilla and shortbread, with hints of smoked bacon. A little water brings out a touch of hazelnut and the scent of an autumn forest. The palate is noticeably sweet without being intrusive, balanced by gentle spice. The finish is long and juicy, marked by intense smokiness.
