The Perfect Fifth Equilibrium Glen Scotia 27 Year Old 1992 (75cl, 45.9%)

This is a 27 year old single cask Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2019 as The Perfect Fifth Equilibrium. It was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled at a cask strength of 45.9%, in a 75cl bottle. Just 174 bottles were filled. Glen Scotia is one of three distilleries still working in Campbeltown, and this bottling shows its coastal character. Smoke and rich, complex barley come through on the nose. The palate is juicy, with cocoa and light smoke, and the finish is rich with phenols and plenty of spice.
