This is a peated Highland single malt from Ardmore, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Elixir Distillers for its Single Malts of Scotland range. It is a 13-year-old small-batch release at 48% in a 70cl bottle, drawn from just six ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose has charred herbs and heather. Candied citrus, pear drops and floral honey follow on the palate, and the finish brings juicy barley, pepper and soft trails of smoke.
