A 13-year-old Glen Elgin single malt from Speyside, released in The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Cask range. It was aged in reserve casks and bottled at 48%, without chill filtration or added colouring.
Honey is the thread running through it, with orchard fruit, malt, citrus and a little spice around it. The colour is a warm golden amber.
The nose is rich with honey, orchard fruit, vanilla and floral notes, with a hint of citrus zest. On the palate come ripe pear, honeyed malt, creamy toffee and gentle baking spices. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness and a touch of oak spice.
